PFLAG Stuart
We offer a host of ways for you to support the local LGBTQ+ community, whether through education and outreach of issues impacting the queer community, or offering supports and resources so that parents, families and friends can help improve outcomes for our queer loved ones.
Provide Support – PFLAG Stuart offers monthly in-person support and education group meetings. All are welcome, but we are especially interested in helping families who need help understanding and supporting their queer children and other family members. We understand that meeting in a group setting can be overwhelming for some people, so we offer private, one-on-one phone calls for those just starting their journey. Email PFLAGStuartFL@gmail.com to get started.
Offer Education – PFLAG Stuart has connections to national educational resources that we share both on our webpage and on our social media channels. Whether you need information about how to be a better ally or how to talk to your trans grandchild, we’ve got it!
Advocate – PFLAG strives to partner with other local and National organizations to educate key decision-makers about the issues that affect our loved ones and families, and to teach others how to use their voices to amplify our efforts toward a more equitable, and just world for the LGBTQ+ community.
Locally, we work with several other LGBTQ+ and ally groups to ensure Stuart and the rest of the Treasure Coast has a variety of social and educational opportunities for the queer community. Together, we provide our community’s only Queer Prom for high-school students through age 20.
